My Biography

I was born in Kiev, Ukraine in 1996.
I started playing the violin when I was 3 years old, and started to write my own compositions when I was 6.
Currently I study music with my parents, both of whom are graduates of the Ukrainian Music Academy in Kiev.
My first performance with an orchestra was when I was 7, playing Vivaldi's A-minor Violin Concerto.

Other major performances:
2007, I performed as a soloist Mozart's third Violin Concerto with the Salta Symphony Orchestra under the conductor Luis Gorelik.
2008, I was a finalist in the reality-show "Argentina's Got Talent" playing Astor Piazzollas's violin compositions.
2009, I started to develop my violin-piano repertoire, that you can see on my YouTube Page.
2010, I was the featured violin performer of "Zigeunerweisen" by Pablo Sarasate, with the Salta Symphony Orchestra.
2011, I was invited to play at the "Teatro Coliseo" and also at "Hilton Hotel" in Puerto Madero (Buenos Aires).
I participated in many lessons, that were given to me by very well known international teachers such as Alberto Lysy, Alexis Cardenas, Martha Argerich and others.
I played the violin in many violin concerts, playing pieces like Vivaldi's "Four Seasons", Bartók's Duets for violin, Piazzolla's tangos and electronic music.
I also performed very well known violin concertos, such as those of Beethoven, Tchaikowsky, Sibelius, Brahms, Saint-Saëns, Mendelssohn, Paganini's 24 Caprices and Bach's "Sonatas and Partitas for violin solo".

In 2006 I started uploading all my work on YouTube. All my violin repertoire can now be seen on my YouTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/stepanviolin
Last year, I auditioned for the international YouTube Symphony Orchestra competition organized by Google and Hyundai. I won a spot as a violinist and got the chance to travel to Sydney, Australia to play my violin at the world famous Sydney Opera House with the YTSO. At 14, I was the youngest performer and had the opportunity to play with very famous soloists from major Orchestras such as the Viena Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic as well as others who were at this event from all over the world.
I am presently playing, composing, and producing various types of violin music with an emphasis on classical and violin trance.
At the end of 2011, a Canadian Collector sent me a Yamaha Guarneri V20G violin as a gift, so now I can play my music on a fine instrument.
